Russell Harbin began a history of drug abuse at the age of ten. According to one educator, Russell was a hopeless case. Russell was not confronted with the truth of the Gospel until the age of sixteen. On the first hearing of the message of Jesus Christ, he trusted Jesus as Savior and Lord. Immediately a passion for the lost and the so-called hopeless swelled up in Russell's soul.
Russell has traveled the world proclaiming Christ's hope to individuals, churches, and through citywide crusades. He has served on local church staffs including First Baptist Church of Snellville, Georgia.
Russell is committed to the Bible as the inerrant, infallible, inspired Word of God. He sees the church as the cornerstone of the community. Russell's message is simple: Life changing hope is found in Jesus Christ!
Dr. James Merritt, FormerPresident of the Southern Baptist Convention, says this about Russell:
"Russell is a man of intense devotion to our Lord. He has a burning desire to see lost people saved. Russell is a man of moral integrity and clean character. I highly recommend Russell Harbin for the consideration of any church to use in a great and mighty way."
Russell shares from God's Word and relates it to everyday circumstances we all face. His messages are anointed and fresh for today. The Rev. Butch Butcher says, "Russell is a soul winner with a passion to share the Gospel message with lost people. I want you to consider Russell and Starla for your revival or conference meetings or for a concert in your church. They love the Lord and His church and have an unquestionable commitment to His call in their lives."
